Helen McCarron, RMT is the manager and owner of McCarron’s Massage & Wellness Centre. A Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with The Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia, Helen was a Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency and Critical Care for 12 years then returned to study Massage Therapy at Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Toronto. Helen completed the 2200 hour program with honors, at which time she relocated back to Antigonish where she established her business in fall of 1998.

Having worked with a wide range of Health Care Practitioners in her Nursing and Massage Career such as Surgeons, Neurologists, RespiratoryTechnicians, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Osteopaths etc. she has been able to establish and specialize in Medical Massage. Helen is able to assess and develop a treatment plan to suit each individual client, recognize when further diagnostics are needed, and make necessary recommendations for referral to other health care providers or tests if needed.She strives to provide a positive experience for each client by being professional, competent and knowledgeable by staying current with new research and treatment modalities that would best suit each individual.

Tara MacGillivray, RMT


Tara MacGillivray is a Registered Massage Therapist with the Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia. She graduated from the 2200 hour massage therapy program in 2007 and has been working full time in Antigonish since then. Tara practices general Swedish massage (GSM) and specializes in relaxation, pregnancy and infant massage. She has traveled to India and Vancouver to further her studies in Yoga Instruction, which aids clients with home care. Tara has her Level One Reiki, LaStone Therapy and Indian Head Massage certification, she can also provide cupping therapy.

Mikayla Pierce, RMT


Mikayla is a recent graduate from ICT Northumberland College. During her time there she has had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of clients including athletes, circus performers, and multiple sclerosis patients. She believes in maintaining and improve their mobility, comfort level and reaching their health goals. She uses a wide variety of techniques including Deep Tissue Therapy, Joint Mobilizations, Myofascial Release Therapy, Trigger Point Therapy and Swedish/Relaxation Massage. She looks at the body as a whole, to better create a treatment that will meet her clients specific needs. She recognizes the importance of engaging her clients in their healing, through effective patient education and appropriate home care.

Candice Connor, RMT

Candice Connnor, RMT

Candice is a graduate of The Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy 2200hr program based out of Halifax NS. Originally from Pictou County, she is overjoyed to have settled in Antigonish. Candice is passionate about neurology, the power of the human brain and mind body medicine practices.

Candice focused her clinic practical hours in Chronic Pain and Neuro clinics, where she gained insight from her patients and honed her therapeutic skills, treating patient conditions such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia and Arthritis.
